By purchasing a BWAP® backpack, you’re already impacting the lives of at-risk students around the world. Now, we want to give you the opportunity to take it a step further. Here’s how you can get involved:
Domestically: If you are in the Oklahoma City area, we invite you to volunteer with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. You can check out volunteer opportunities here!
Internationally: Sponsor a child through Children International. Their unique sponsorship program gives you the opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on an impoverished child. Contributions help provide education, health and dental care, nutrition support and other assistance, which can change the course of a child’s life. You can even exchange letters and photos with your sponsored child...and travel to visit if you wish.

The STORY of Backpacks with a Purpose
From the beginning, it has been our mission to meet needs when we find them. The first BWAP® backpack was made in 2002 as a direct response to the needs of the Urban Mission in Oklahoma City. They needed high-quality, affordable backpacks with a classic design to distribute through their back-to-school program. Since then, through partnerships with hundreds of nonprofit organizations, over 750,000 BWAP® backpacks have been distributed to students who need them most.Now, we are increasing our impact by inviting others to join with us in giving back. When you purchase a BWAP® backpack, two BWAP® backpacks will be donated to a nonprofit working directly with at-risk kids. CC Sabathia and the PitCCh In Foundation donate 1,300 backpacks to School in the Bronx
New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia, his wife Amber and their PitCCh In Foundation personally presented 1,300 new backpacks to all children attending PS-106 Parkchester School in the Bronx on Friday.
